Russian forces fired at Europe’s largest nuclear power plant in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, southeastern Ukraine, twice on August 5, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the government-run nuclear enterprise said. Energoatom, Ukraine’s state nuclear power enterprise, said on August 5 that Russian forces had twice attacked the nuclear power plant, damaging key buildings and creating the risk of hydrogen leaks.
