Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Member Referral Is Back: Earn 800 Miles For New Members Through September 1, 2022

For a limited time, Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer has returned their member referral promotion offering 800 KrisFlyer miles for each new member (up to 20 referrals).

The campaign goes until September 1, 2022 and the referred member has to make a qualifying transaction by November 30th in order for the 800 miles to be credited.

This member referral promotion pops up every now and then in irregular periods. The amount of miles offered is rather small as 800 miles isn’t really the world but if you know a bunch of people who could potentially start collecting with KrisFlyer then asking 20 of them to sign up might be not too difficult.

KrisFlyer send out an email today advertising the campaign and it can also be be checked on their website.

From now till 1 September 2022, refer a friend to join KrisFlyer and earn 800 miles for every new member that makes a qualifying transaction*. Introduce more friends to earn up to 16,000 miles!

New members will earn 800 KrisFlyer miles upon enrolment with the promo code “KFFRIEND”.

In order for both parties to receive the points, the person referred has to complete at least one qualifying transaction on the account.

Qualifying transactions, which include those listed below, must take place between 5 August 2022 and 30 November 2022 (both dates inclusive):

KrisFlyer miles accrual or redemption on Singapore Airlines or Scoot
KrisFlyer miles accrual from eligible partners
KrisFlyer miles accrual via KrisShop transactions
KrisFlyer miles accrual via Pelago bookings
Miles accrual via Kris+ partners, subsequently transferred to KrisFlyer account
Conversion of reward points from eligible partner programmes to KrisFlyer

This should be easy enough if one is serious with activating and using the account.

I think over the years I have referred a couple of people to KrisFlyer as I believe the program still has some very nice sweet spots, in particular for travel within Asia and some intercontinental redemptions options.

Conclusion

This years Singapore Airlines member referral promotion will be active for one month only and will end on September 1st. Members must be signed up by then and make a qualifying transaction by Nov 30th or the 800 miles won’t be awarded. Not the end of the world but it’s good to keep the date in mind.

Overall I consider KrisFlyer a very worthwhile program to look into. Many loyalty programs have lost their attractiveness in the past years but despite small changes and award chart adjustments SQFK is still solid.

This promotion (“Promotion“) is organised by Singapore Airlines Limited (“SIA“), where existing KrisFlyer members (each a “Referrer“and collectively, “Referrers“) may be eligible to earn KrisFlyer miles for referring individuals to (a) sign up as KrisFlyer members (each a “New Member” and collectively, “New Members“) into the KrisFlyer programme and (b) complete a Qualifying Transaction (as defined below). In these terms and conditions, Referrers and New Members shall be collectively referred to as “participants”.

This Promotion commences on 5 August 2022, 0000hrs (GMT+8) and ends on 1 September 2022, 2359hrs (GMT+8) (“Promotional Period“)

All KrisFlyer members residing in Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Canada, Mainland China, Hong Kong SAR China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Taiwan China, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United States of America, Vietnam, aged 18 years or above as at the commencement of the Promotional Period are eligible to participate as Referrers in the Promotion.

Referrers may participate in this Promotion by providing New Members with their KrisFlyer membership number along with the promo code “KFFRIEND“. New Members must then sign up for their KrisFlyer accounts using the information above within the Promotional Period. Each New Member must also make a qualifying transaction, as defined in clause 7 below (“Qualifying Transaction“) between 5 August 2022, 0000hrs (GMT+8) and 30 November 2022, 2359 hrs (GMT+8) (“Qualifying Transaction Period“).

In order for the Referrer to receive 800 bonus KrisFlyer miles, the following conditions must be met:

New Members must successfully sign up as new KrisFlyer members, enter the Referrer’s KrisFlyer membership number into the “Referred to KrisFlyer by a friend?” field; and enter “KFFRIEND” in the “KrisFlyer registration promotion” field in the KrisFlyer enrolment form on singaporeair.com within the Promotional Period.
Upon successful enrolment, the New Member will receive a welcome email from KrisFlyer, containing his/her new KrisFlyer membership number.
The New Member must then make a Qualifying Transaction under his/her new KrisFlyer membership number within the Qualifying Transaction Period.

Each Referrer may earn a maximum of 16,000 bonus KrisFlyer miles from the promotion.

In order for the New Member to receive 800 bonus KrisFlyer miles, the New Member must successfully sign up as a new KrisFlyer member, and enter “KFFRIEND” in the “KrisFlyer Registration Promotion” field and enter the Referrer’s KrisFlyer membership number into the “Referred to KrisFlyer by a friend?” field in the KrisFlyer enrolment form on singaporeair.com within the Promotional Period.

A Qualifying Transaction shall refer to any of the following transactions:

KrisFlyer miles accrual or redemption on Singapore Airlines or Scoot
KrisFlyer miles accrual from eligible partners as set out at Clause 14
KrisFlyer miles accrual via KrisShop transactions
KrisFlyer miles accrual via Pelago bookings
Miles accrual via Kris+ partners, subsequently transferred to KrisFlyer account
Conversion of reward points from eligible partner programmes (as set out at Clause 14) to KrisFlyer

All decisions made by SIA, in respect to any matter relating to this Promotion shall be final. SIA reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions, terminate or otherwise amend this Promotion without prior notice at its sole and absolute discretion. SIA reserves the right to verify the eligibility of Referrers and New Members for the Promotion. The demise of a Referrer or New Member automatically disqualifies his/her participation in the Promotion.

Any KrisFlyer miles acquired in accordance with this Promotion will be valid for three (3) years from the date on which it is credited into the recipient’s KrisFlyer account and no extensions to the validity period will be permitted. For the avoidance of doubt, the KrisFlyer miles awarded which have not been used by the end of such validity period will expire and shall be deemed null and void.

All KrisFlyer miles must be used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the KrisFlyer program found at https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/ppsclub_krisflyer/termsconditions-kf/. Transfer of KrisFlyer miles from one member’s account to another member’s account is not permitted.

All purchases made from KrisShop shall be governed by the terms found at https://www.krisshop.com/en/page/kf-miles. New Members need to log in to their KrisFlyer accounts on KrisShop.com when making an eligible transaction for it to be a Qualifying Transaction under this Campaign.

All transactions made with Kris+ shall be governed by the terms found at https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/sg/ppsclub-krisflyer/use-miles/krisplus/terms-of-use/.

All transactions made with Pelago shall be governed by the terms found at https://pages.pelago.co/en/krisflyer. New Members need to log in to their KrisFlyer accounts on Pelago.co when making an eligible transaction for it to be a Qualifying Transaction under this Campaign.

All transactions or conversions made with the bank partners, co-brand cards, and/or non-air partners shall be governed by the partner’s terms and conditions. New Members need to log in to their KrisFlyer account or provide a valid KrisFlyer membership number when making an eligible transaction for it to be a Qualifying Transaction under this Campaign. New Members may expect any KrisFlyer miles acquired in accordance with this Promotion to be credited into their KrisFlyer accounts 4 to 6 weeks after the end of the Promotional Period.

Referrers may expect any KrisFlyer miles acquired in accordance with this Promotion to be credited into their KrisFlyer accounts 4 to 6 weeks after the end of the Qualifying Transaction Period.

Referrers can refer an unlimited number of New Members, though this is subject to the maximum number of KrisFlyer miles that can be earned as set out in Clause 5 above, but are not permitted to refer themselves. Referrers will not be deemed to have made a successful referral if the New Member is an existing KrisFlyer member.

Individuals are only permitted to hold one KrisFlyer membership account. Any fraudulent or duplicate KrisFlyer accounts, including the original KrisFlyer account held by such individuals will be suspended and disqualified from the Promotion.

By participating in the Promotion, each participant agrees that any and all personal data he/she submits (including his/her name, KrisFlyer membership number, and email address) may be collected, used, disclosed, or otherwise processed (collectively, “Processed”) by SIA for the purposes of the Promotion. In respect of any referral submitted by the New Member, the New Member warrants and confirms that the Referrer has given consent to the New Member(s) for his/her KrisFlyer membership number to be provided.

Employees of SIA, Scoot, their immediate families, affiliates, subsidiaries, related agencies, principal sponsors and suppliers associated with this campaign are not eligible to participate in the Promotion. Corporations and other artificial persons are not eligible to participate in the Promotion.

Participants are advised to obtain independent legal advice at their own expense before participating in the Promotion. SIA will not be responsible for any consequences that any participant may suffer (including without limitation any damage, loss, injury or disappointment), or that results in an infringement of any law or regulation, by participating in the Promotion.

By participating in the Promotion, each participant agrees to comply with and be bound by these terms and conditions, Singapore Airlines, Scoot’s conditions of use of website, and conditions of carriage, SIA’s Privacy Policy and KrisFlyer Terms and Conditions and KrisShop Terms and Conditions (collectively, “SIA Terms & Conditions“).
