This move is a part of the strategic effort of Traveloka in protecting the environment, which emphasizes the commitment of the company in understanding sustainable tourism and take part in and contribute toward the advancement of sustainability in global travel and tourism industry.

The modest beginnings of Traveloka started as a one-stop travel tech platform that would serve the requirements of the Indonesians, and since then has evolved to be the lifestyle superapp of Southeast Asia, introducing its services to six markets in the province. This includes services like flight, bus, train ticket booking, car rental, and airport transfer, along with right to use a large accommodation inventory not limited to hotels and apartments, making Traveloka an all-inclusive platform with the widest selection when it comes to accommodation and packages.

The Traveloka superapp has a strong local customer base in Southeast Asia.  It has been downloaded over 100 million times. As of January 2022, the app brags more than 40 million monthly active users. As a technology company, Traveloka knows the significance of educating the industry stakeholders along with its partners and users, in terms of the meaning of environmental sustainability. Assisting the Indonesian government’s plan to build up domestic tourism sustainably is one of its most recent initiatives.
